There are certain words that often recall a strong imagery or scene in our minds. The typography that was used or the memories of seeing and using that word in certain places help visualize the word into a scene. In this series of illustrations, I wanted to try to create imagery or scenes for specific Korean words that evoke a particular nostalgic memory, moment, or atmosphere. Some of the words used were certain objects, seasons, or places, such as the “Pocari Sweat“ drink, “Summer Break“, and a “Korean Local Spa”.
