“sha(d/pe)” (read as “shade or shape”) is a zine/publication that utilizes scanned images from a book called ‘NO MAGIC IN RISO’ (Lu ihwa, Liu Yuxian, 2019) and experiments with how primary colored images visually change when they are desaturated and printed in black and white onto paper. Experimenting and limiting oneself to only using the unique shapes and different shades of the images to create a new abstract form.
